Before riding the Lemmo One MK2, it felt like watching the first episode of Breaking Bad — not quite convinced. But after getting hands on the bike and experiencing the ride, it was like diving into the second episode, hooked until the end. In other words, it is beyond expectations! 🔥

Handling Hills

During the first riding experience, the route included a section where the elevation increased by about 7 meters over a distance of 30 meters, resulting in around a 20% incline 🚴‍♂️💨 The bike slowed down, but it was still almost effortless!

Smartpac Power

The SmartPac (3kg) is quite impressive in terms of functionality and battery reserves 🔋 It features 30 cells and a 531Wh capacity (over 100 km range), and you can use it as an external power bank for any USB-A or USB-C device, providing up to 65W.

Electronic Locking System

The SmartPac and rear hub feature an electronic locking mechanism 🔒 The rear hub locks a bit like VanMoof’s kicklock but doesn’t require kicking and engages inside the rearhub electronically. Lock both by pressing the bell and boost buttons simultaneously, or use the app to lock the Smartpac remotely.

Innovative Lighting System

The bike features a practical lighting system with a front light powered by its own rechargeable battery, which can be charged via USB-C or through the SmartPac. When in pedal mode (w/o smartpac), it also powers the rear light and bell, enhancing visibility and safety.

E-bike vs Pedal Bike

It reminds me the Cyclaer (€6999) with its removable Fauza e-antrieb, in a similar fashion Lemmo lets you remove the SmartPac and switch to M(anual) mode by rotating the duo clutch on the rear hub 🅼 ↔️ 🅴 This fully decouples the motor, offering a true pedal bike experience — especially ideal with the 10-speed Shimano + chain setup over the single-speed belt drive.

Design and Materials

Lemmo One MK2 features a carbon fiber front fork and a body made from recycled aluminum. This combination keeps the bike lightweight and agile while adding an eco-friendly touch ♻️ The carbon fork enhances ride comfort by absorbing road vibrations, and the aluminum frame offers durability without extra weight. Its clean, weld-free design gives the bike a sleek, polished appearance.

Clean Look with Universal Handlebars

While not a fan of universal handlebars, Lemmo effectively manages cable routing, resulting in a clean, minimalistic appearance 😉 The bike looks sleek with no visible welds, making the handlebars a minor concern.

Ideal for Pedal Mode: 10-Speed + Chain

If planning to use the Lemmo One MK2 as a pedal bike ☝, the 10-speed Shimano + chain version is highly recommended ⚙️ This setup offers a better pedal bike riding experience, especially on hilly terrain.

Lemmo App: Functional with Potential

The Lemmo app tracks GPS, cellular, and Bluetooth connectivity while providing insights like estimated range and total riding time 📱 It also allows remote locking of the SmartPac. Although it could use some polishing for accuracy, it offers a solid foundation with promising features for future updates.
